Kelsey Kinnett is a Science Illustrator from Wilmington, North Carolina with her BFA from Pratt Institute and a certification in Scientific Illustration in progress from California State, Monterey Bay. She grew up eating sweet honeysuckles off the bush and listening for muskrats on moonlit North Carolina lakes. She has always expressed her gratitude for the natural world through her artwork.

 

Prior to her career in science illustration Kelsey was an educator in New York City schools for four years. Her passion for social and environmental justice, research, writing, and education are shown in her work. Kelsey creates engaging infographics and data visualizations to make complex scientific research accessible to diverse audiences, and hopes to collaborate with science magazines, newspapers, and conservation organizations upon completion of her graduate certification at CSUMB.
